Legal
Terms of Service
Effective March 2026
The short version
ABC Tunnel is a free Chrome extension that proxies browser traffic according to rules you set. Use it lawfully, do not expect it to behave like a system-wide VPN, and understand that a free service comes without uptime guarantees.
1. Agreement
By installing or using ABC Tunnel (“the Extension”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension and stop using it.
2. What the service is
ABC Tunnel is a free browser extension for Google Chrome. It routes selected Chrome traffic through encrypted proxy exits, applies per-site routing rules you configure, offers automatic exit selection (Smart Connect), and can report the exit IP address a website sees.
The Extension operates inside Chrome only. It does not act as a system-wide VPN, does not alter operating-system network settings, and does not route traffic from other browsers or native applications.
3. What the service is not
ABC Tunnel does not make you anonymous. Changing your exit IP address does not clear cookies, sign you out of accounts, or alter your browser fingerprint, and services you are logged in to will continue to recognise you.
The Extension is not a security product. It does not block malware, phishing, or trackers, and it is not a substitute for keeping your browser and operating system up to date.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use ABC Tunnel only for lawful purposes. You must not use it to:
- Break any applicable law, or facilitate someone else doing so.
- Attack, scan, or disrupt networks, systems, or services without authorisation.
- Distribute malware, spam, or phishing content.
- Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Place automated or abusive load on our exits in a way that degrades service for others.
We may restrict or block access that violates these rules or threatens the stability of the service.
5. Availability
The Extension is provided free of charge and on an “as available” basis. Exit availability, throughput, and geographic coverage vary and may change without notice. We do not guarantee that any particular site, service, or region will be reachable through the tunnel.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the routing rules you configure and for verifying that traffic is routed the way you intend — the exit check exists for exactly that purpose. You are also responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party service you access through the Extension.
7. Privacy
Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Intellectual property
The ABC Tunnel name, logo, interface, and code are owned by us and protected by applicable law. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Extension without written permission, and you may not use the ABC Tunnel name or branding to imply endorsement.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Extension is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Extension.
Because ABC Tunnel is provided at no cost, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time by disabling or uninstalling the Extension, which halts all routing immediately. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that breaches these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the product evolves. The current version will always be published on this page with its effective date. Continuing to use the Extension after a revision takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We will attempt to resolve any dispute informally first; if that fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
